P C Henderson Release New Husky Soft Stop Sliding Door Hardware

Sliding and folding door hardware manufacturer, P C Henderson, is pleased to announce the launch of its latest innovative hardware solution to the market. The company’s new Husky Soft Stop product caters for sliding doors weighing up to 100kg and comes complete with dual soft close and open – providing a next generation product to the company’s existing Husky sliding system.

P C Henderson’s existing Husky sliding system has become renowned in the industry as a reliable, cost effective sliding door solution for interior applications. The company has built on this success by developing Husky Soft Stop – a far superior version of the product boasting a built in dual soft close and opening mechanism.

We’ve taken one of our most popular and dependable systems and created a next generation version – whilst still upholding the robust and high quality manufacturing standards which has made it so prevalent today”.

The system comes pre-assembled and is concealed within the track upon installation – providing an extremely minimalistic finish. Purposefully developed in five kit variants for different weight ranges, the product is tuned to ensure optimum performance and smooth operation every time – whether operating a 10kg or 100kg door.

“The system catches the door in its final moments of travel and gently pulls it into its final position. What this results in is an extremely sophisticated system which also provides a host of practical benefits – zero slamming, silent operation and improved product longevity. The product is also one of our easiest systems to install – the soft stop damper comes pre-assembled so there’s very little for the installer to do”, continued Andrew.

Husky Soft Stop is available for wooden and metal doors, providing dual soft close and open for doors weighing up to 80kg and soft close only for doors weighing up to 100kg. The kit is supplied with everything required to hang a sliding door – only the track must be specified separately – providing customers with the freedom to cater for any opening width. For bi-parting doors, two kits can be used together.

P C Henderson announced as best exporting company in the UK

Sliding and folding door hardware manufacturer – P C Henderson – beat off national competition on Thursday night to be named Export Business of the Year at the British Chamber Awards.

After winning the regional finals of the North East Business Awards back in April – the company was selected by the North East England Chamber of Commerce to represent the region at the national finals. The firm didn’t disappoint – beating off 8 other companies in its category, after a rigorous judging process, to be named the best exporting company in the UK.

We’ve listened to our customers first hand and transferred this knowledge into developing products that suit specific market requirements. Held at Tobacco Dock, London – the 15th Annual British Chamber Awards welcomed over 70 companies from all corners of the UK to battle it out across 14 award categories. Hosted by TV presenter Jenni Falconer and headline sponsored by Facebook, the awards are viewed as one of the most contested and prestigious awards programmed in the UK.

The hotly contested Export Award aims to shine a spotlight on companies that have generated substantial success in international trade. Chief Executive of North East England Chamber of Commerce, James Ramsbotham, commented; “We are delighted one of our members has received such a tremendous accolade and in particular for this international trade category.

This latest success is now the 4th award the company has won for its exporting achievements in under 2 years. Judges cited product adaptation, meeting market specific preferences and putting the diverse needs and preferences of its customers as the reasons behind its success.

P C Henderson’s export sales currently account for over 70% of overall sales and the company exports to over 70 countries worldwide. The company will build on this success in 2019 when it will be exhibiting at BAU – a major tradeshow in Munich, Germany.

P C Henderson wins export award at this year’s North East Business Awards

Sliding and folding door hardware manufacturer, P C Henderson, has been crowned the winner in the Export category at this years’ North East Business Awards – Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside region.

Shortlisted against two other leading companies from the region, P C Henderson went through two rounds of judging before being announced as the winner at a prestigious awards dinner held at Ramside Hall in Durham.

The awards, held in association with the North East England Chamber of Commerce, is the biggest of its kind in the UK and aims to celebrate successful and innovative businesses achieving fantastic things in the North East of England. Attended by over 400 people, a total of 12 awards were given out on the evening across a variety of categories. P C Henderson will now go on to compete against the winners of the Northumberland and Teesside heats in order to win the overall Export Award for the North East of England.

Commenting on the good news, Trevor Cossins, Managing Director at P C Henderson, said “We are delighted to be once again recognised for our exporting achievements. Taking a tailored and localised approach to each specific market has allowed us to significantly grow and sustain the exporting side of the business. Sponsored by the Port of Sunderland, the Export Award aims to encourage and recognise companies that have generated substantial and sustained increases in export activity. Judging criteria for the award took into account the level of exports in relation to the size of the company, barriers that the company has had to overcome as well as the complexity of markets entered.

This is now the second time that P C Henderson has been commended for its exporting successes and achievements, the company was awarded SME Exporter of the Year at last year’s North East Export Awards.
