Armstrong Fluid Technology has launched the 3760 range of pressurisation units for HVAC applications. For the consultant or M & E contractor the range offers maximum flexibility and space saving options for a plantroom’s specific needs, and for a facility manager, the range is designed to fit and forget. These compact units are designed to maintain the minimum system pressure of sealed systems up to 300,000 litres with some models also offering combined vacuum degassing and automatic chemical dosing as needed. Pressurisation only models are available for both floor and wall mounting, and floor-standing dual/multi models are also included in the range. Each unit combines a range of features to improve efficiency, save money, and reduce maintenance costs.

The 3760 Pro Floor Standing Pressurisation Units are digital units, designed for use on sealed systems, which offer enhanced BMS connectivity for multi-level monitoring. The unit’s controller maintains accuracy at the same time as reducing downtime, as changes can be made on the live system. With built-in dry run protection, anti-seize routine, and flood protection, they notify excessive starts and limit pump run time. These units are available in three models – 2LP, 2MP, and 2HP – with top up delivery pressure ranging from 1-8 bar. There is also the option of the DualSys model, which can control two sealed systems with the same benefits.

In addition to the 3760 Standard PRO models, the range includes ProVDG Pressurisation Units which combine pressurisation and vacuum degassing capabilities. These help prevent damage to pumps, heat exchangers, and valve seals by reducing magnetic accumulation. By effectively removing dissolved gases from the system, they also reduce system resistance and improve pump efficiency, allowing lower operational speeds. This results in improved heat transmission by keeping water at its optimal thermal potential, which saves time and money. These models also feature built-in dry run protection, anti-seize routines, and flood protection, providing notification of excessive starts and optimising pump run time. These units are available in three models – 2MP, 2HP, and 2UHP – with top up delivery pressure ranging from 1-8 bar.

The remaining models in the range are 3760 ProDoseVDG Pressurisation Units. These are 3-in-1 digital units combining pressurisation, vacuum degassing, and automatic dosing capabilities, making them an all-in-one solution for fluid management. They also maintain a minimum system pressure while proportionally providing additive on demand and effectively removing dissolved gases from the system fluid. These models feature built-in automatic chemical dosing capabilities, which enable 100% accuracy according to system requirements. This reduces costs and removes the possibility of human error. A key advantage of this feature is that it helps prevent particulate build-up and reduces costs by removing the need for yearly manual dosing maintenance. With built-in dry run protection, anti-seize routine, and flood protection, they notify excessive starts and limit pump run time. These units are available in three models – 2MP, 2HP, and 2UHP – with top up delivery pressure ranging from 1-16 bar. They are easy to install with a single connection, enabling fit-and-forget convenience.

As the momentum for using an integrated piping system for HVAC applications gathers pace, leading manufacturer Pegler is thrilled to launch a press thick wall solution to its ever increasing portfolio.

VSH PowerPress is a range of fittings and valves for use on thick wall steel pipes particularly in the HVAC market. “We are delighted to be adding another range to our portfolio. This really does mean that Pegler has become the only manufacturer to offer a truly integrated piping system. With our breadth of experience and knowledge we can offer solutions and products from plant room to bathroom and beyond,” said Phill Jackson Business Development and Marketing Director.

The VSH PowerPress range is set to rival competitors by its innovative design and engineered credentials. Suitable for a range of applications including heating, cooling, sprinkler, air and oil the range will connect steel systems including black steel, epoxy coated and galvanized. This system also combines the best press technology, for which Pegler is renowned, and negates the need for heat which provides all the associated benefits such as; clean joints, no flux requirement, faster install times and a safer working environment ensuring an easier installation overall. In addition, VSH PowerPress also incorporates a fail-safe leak before press indicator and advanced ‘O’ ring protection.

Furthermore, a comprehensive range of adapted valves have been specifically designed to complement the system including, Gate, FODRV, Venturi DRV, PICV, Swing Check, Double Check, PRV and Strainer. In order to fully appreciate the requirements of such integrated piping systems Pegler has also developed a new ball valve range with lever and extended levers.

Phill continued: “We understand the demands on specifiers when sourcing a highly efficient system and by providing a comprehensive range of valves to support the building’s needs is something we are equipped to do whether that is via our existing products or developing new.

“By listening to both specifiers and installers we have developed a ball valve range for VSH PowerPress with specifiable features which greatly assist during the installation and maintenance phases.”

The innovations behind the new VSH PowerPress ball valve range include; colour switch inserts for recognition of hot or cold water service improved ergonomic handle supporting ease of use and a lockable latch enabling permanent or temporary fixing of valve in open or close position. This is all compounded by a strong and consistent identity found within all Pegler engineered valves.

The entire VSH PowerPress range has a working pressure of 16 bar, its temperature range EPDM is -40°C to 135°C and is Zinc-nickel plating surface protected which is suitable for outdoor usage. Sizes available from ½” to 2”.

Organisers of HVAC 2016 are pleased to announce that the show in October will host a number of new product launches from leading exhibitors including some industry firsts, as well as a raft of exciting competitions.

In a world first, humidification and evaporative cooling specialists Condair will be previewing the first ever condensing, gas-fired steam humidifier at its stand. The new Condair GS recovers heat from exhaust gases to pre-heat its incoming water supply, saving energy and making it the most efficient gas-fired humidifier available.

For those looking for the latest innovations in the smart controls market then Cotherm UK’s stand will be well worth a visit. The company will be launching its new range of smart water heating controls as well as its smart electric radiator controls. Leading ventilation solutions manufacturer Airflow Developments Ltd will also be exhibiting its brand new Ardoit Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) range of units. The Passive House certified units are equipped with the latest smart technology that allows airflow settings to be controlled within the home or remotely by PC, tablet or smartphone.

Organisers are also pleased to announce that HVAC 2016 will host the official European launch of pioneering air treatment company Bio-Oxygen. The company will be showcasing its air sterilisation system, which guarantees odour free results along with 99 per cent elimination of viruses and bacteria. Also with new products specifically for for the UK market, air conditioning specialist Hitachi will be bringing its all-in-one Tutaki-SCombi air source heat pump as well as other examples from its newly expanded range.
