 EXPANDS ITS VENTILATION RANGE WITH

WHOLE HOUSE HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM

EnviroVent, one of the UK’s leading ventilation manufacturers, has launched a new MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery) range, which is Passivhaus certified*.

The Sabik 350 & 500 series has been designed to provide balanced and sustainable ventilation for new and refurbished homes, incorporating modular features, with user-friendly controllability.

Mark Isles, New Build Director at EnviroVent, said: “These high efficiency whole house ventilation systems are a major innovation in ventilation system design, as part of our commitment to helping the new build sector meet increasingly stringent ventilation and airflow requirements. The Sabik 350 & 500 Series includes modular options offering Passivhaus compliance and incorporates key features as standard, including on site unit handing configurations providing installer flexibility, in addition to optimised ventilation, good indoor air quality and reduced overall energy consumption.”

The Sabik 350 and 500 systems have significant airflow capacity of up to 414m3hr** and 601m3hr** respectively, and are suitable for handing airflow directions and drain on site to offer flexibility when it comes to ducting configurations.  These modular units incorporate a range of features as standard, including integrated relative humidity sensor, touchscreen controller and frost protection.

The Sabik 350 unit is Passivhaus certified providing that the modular preheater and enhanced ePM1 70% filter are installed. The Passivhaus concept is the only internationally recognised, performance-based energy standard in construction.

Optional features of the Sabik 350 and 500 systems include a pre-heater, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) sensor, wall spacer bracket for tight installations, and constant flow module which provides the ultimate versatility.

The units offer flexible commissioning methods to ensure easy install and commissioning which includes the use of the modular constant flow control.

Available in two sizes to suit different properties, the systems benefit from minimal noise levels thanks to reduced air leakage, as well as offering energy efficiency benefits which help to save on annual heating costs.

The range’s mechanical summer bypass function provides an improved comfort level in warmer weather and can be controlled manually or automatically.

When connected to an AirSens® sensor, the Sabik 350 and 500 systems react automatically to changes in air quality, instantly increasing the extraction rate to maintain a healthy environment when needed.

EnviroVent has been a ventilation solutions provider to UK housing for 35 years, working with developers, consultants and specifiers.  The company often works with architects and consulting engineers at early stages of design, to ensure the ventilation strategy meets Building Regulations, SAP requirements, environmental conditions or Passivhaus requirements. EnviroVent’s technical and customer service teams, area specialists and engineers deliver support and expertise at each stage of a project cycle and aftercare, integrating seamlessly with all project stakeholders.

Titon’s new auramode® is a simple and sophisticated LCD display for programming, commissioning and occupancy control for Titon’s high quality range of Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery units (MVHR).

The auramode® functions include straightforward speed control at the click of a button with three or four-speed options, alongside an auto-timed speed mode. The fourth speed (high flow) has been added to assist with purge flow ventilation requirements. Seven-day programming is also available, with a total of eight different settings per day, while an adjustable indicator notifies users when MVHR filters require changing.

Furthermore, the auramode® provides internal MVHR humidity set point adjustment, while a ‘boost inhibit’ function linked to time speeds helps avoid night-time boosting – either via switch inputs or humidity. Once the auramode® has been successfully programmed, end users can leave their MVHR systems running without the need for any additional controller adjustments.

Commenting on the control, Paul Cowell, Senior Technical Manager at Titon, said: “The auramode® provides end users with exceptional levels of control over their Titon MVHR units. The new control has a user-friendly interface, while its functionality ensures a ventilation system is operating efficiently, maintaining high levels of indoor air quality and comfort.”

The auramode® programmer is 86mm wide x 86mm high x 16mm deep and is supplied with a 14m connection cable and a one-year guarantee. The low voltage LCD display is back lit, with adjustable light and contrast settings. Plus, it is a multi-language controller, allowing it to be set in a choice of 12 languages, including German, Spanish and Russian.
